Good doctor is about a autistic surgeon he moves away from the country to join a surgical program. Shaun is unable to connect with other people therefore he doesn’t have many friends. Despite any issues Shaun may have had he has and incredible talent for medicine and has great on the spot thinking skills.

    This show tells people that no matter what I issued you many have you can always push through and keep on trying to better yourself. This show is a great example of never give up alway keep pushing through any obstacles. This is a truly wonderful show and all it’s funny and practical situations. People may be a little scared to have a doctor that has autism, but he has an incredible talent.

    This is a great show but like every good thing there is always something that goes horribly wrong. This doctor has an incredible talent and he uproots his entire life just to prove that he can be a doctor. I highly highly recommend this show as its a good show that you can go and sit down and enjoy. The show has a very good plot and and amazing story line. The writing in this show is really good and writing scenes that’s are very elaborate and fun to watch.

   House is a show where the doctor is very blunt and antisocial. He doesn’t like to talk to other people and he deals with a constant pain and has to use a cane to walk around. Dr. House does not have good bedside manners and if he could do his job without talking to any of his patients he definitely would.

   The doctor on this show is addicted to pain killers because he only has half a muscle in his right leg which causes really bad pain. He started to take them at first to stop the pain and gradually became addicted. He has a team of doctors that follow him around help him solve his cases and help his patients. These are really brilliant doctors that work together to get the job done.

   This is a great show it’s very elaborate that thought out. With every nook and cranny it shows how good the doctor and his team are. Very fun show to watch and very good to understand. I highly recommend this show not only for its plot but for the comedy created by the doctor. It has a serious yet funny twist.

    Grey’s Anatomy a dramatic and interesting show that has different and weird takes on the life of surgeons. The drama causes an interesting twist to to keep the audience interested. Although the show is very drawn out with 14 seasons and some scenes are repetitive, it’s still a good show

    The show is based on the main character Meredith Grey. She started out as an intern and excels. This series shows a lot of love interests. Shonda Rhimes is the director of this show and she uses the hospital as the theme for most scenes. She shows how surgeons spend most of their time at the hospital, she portrays the show in a intellectual way where it shows the good and bad in the show. 2005 is the year that the show was made, the last season ran last year with every good show there’s always great tragedy this show has a mixture of happy moments and grave tragedies.

   When it comes to Grey’s Anatomy people typically think that they wouldn’t be able to sit through all the seasons and that it’d be boring. I think that as the show goes on it doesn’t get boring because there’s always a new case that their working on and it makes it way more interesting. All the cases throw in the sense of structure like it shows the real side of being a surgeon. The series could be way more eye catching if there were more scenes outside of the hospital. If there were more scenes of them hanging out instead it would be a little more fun.

   I recommend this show because it also teaches you a little more about health and different types of diseases and how they treat them. There are a lot of scenes that don’t make sense and should be revised. Other than lack of sensibility in certain scenes they have a great screenplay.

Apple Inc.

         I am analyzing Apple inc. for their marketing strategies. Apple is a widely known brand for their phones, iPods, computers and so much more. Apple has changed the world in so many ways with its technology, they have helped us advance into the future in strides. Some of apple's marketing and advertising strategies are the following, they use a lot of technology based advertising.

         The 2012 summer olympics campaign was a big campaign for Apple. They advertised several ads during commercials to try and sell their new products. The ads portrayed people in everyday situations and how their products helped them. The ad got a lot of criticism as it made apples consumers look unintelligent. Another strategy was using celebrities to endorse their products. Having dancers and singers feature in their ads to try and appeal to the consumers more.

    They target younger audiences and try to appeal to them as much as possible. The newer phones and other devices that coming out every year are mainly targeted toward the younger generation as they are the most likely to buy the products. This brand is definitely not focused because their ideas are all over the place and could be handled better but as far as their products go, they have amazing items. I think Apple is a great company with a great success rate but I feel as though they are trying a little to hard to achieve success. If they tried a little less maybe they could find a good strategy to stick with and help them out a little more.

Arcades in the 1980's

Congo Bongo, Carnival, and UniWar S were three games that caught my attention for sure! These three games were very fun, and I had too much fun playing these classics…
Congo Bongo is an arcade game that is similar to a very well-known Nintendo game called Donkey Kong. Although the theme and layout of both games are very similar, the objective game Congo Bongo is different. Congo Bongo is about adventures of a safari hunter who tries to catch an ape (coincidence… I think not!). Gamers have to navigate through only four different levels and avoid countless enemies. Unlike other games, players have the choice to increase the intensity of this game to their liking. Only two players can play this game simultaneously. Like Donkey Kong, the player has to jump or sidestep everything that comes close to them. This game was released
in 1983 and was developed by Sega. 
The second game I played was Carnival. To me this was a really cute game because of all the carnival animals. The objective of this Sega created game is to shoot the carnival animals with a limited amount of ammo. This game was very distinct to other games in its time because it had a bonus round to it. The bonus round included a big bear that you could shoot at as many times as possible until it disappears off the screen. At the end of each round, the player receives points for all the unused ammo. Carnival ends when you run out of bullets, and sadly I ran out very fast. This game was released in 1980 by Sega in almost every arcade. In 1982, however, Carnival was released to ports like Atari 2600, ColecoVision, and Intellivision. 
Now UniWar S was one that I enjoyed the most because the title reminded me of Star Wars and I am a huge fan of Star Wars. The objective of this awesome, well thought out game is to shoot the incoming enemies, or space soldi
ers. These space soldiers try to spear you from behind by trying to make it to the bottom of the screen where you are. Because the settings are so similar, this made me think of Star Wars even more. Considering the fact that the first Star Wars movie was made in 1977, maybe just maybe they based this game off of the movie… Like many games in it’s time, it has four stages of enemies to shoot. This game was released in 1980 by Irem and was a very popular game.
I loved all these games because like I have mentioned before I love old antique things. I really enjoyed this and let me tell you, these were not the only
classic games I was playing though…

The Bride of Frankenstein

The Bride of Frankenstein is a film that was created in 1935 by Mary Shelley after her previous film Frankenstein. The actors in this classic movie were Elsa Lanschaster as the Frankenstein’s bride Mary Shelley, Boris Karloff as Frankenstein himself, Collin Clive as Henry Frankenstein, and Ernest Thesiger as Doctor Septimus Pretorius. The Bride of Frankenstein is an American romantic comedy and a science-fiction horror film. This creative film is about Dr. Pretorius curiously wanting to create new life once again. While the doctor is busy doing this, Frankenstein is constantly on the run trying to hide from society because they fear him and his lack of self-control. This groundbreaking film was nominated for an Oscar award and won two Saturn awards.

Although this film was made 83 years ago, it still lives on today. How you might ask? Well this movie has been reproduced as kid movies today. We can see this in the movie “Hotel Transylvania” as Kevin James plays the character of Frankenstein. Another common way that this movie is alive (pun intended) is Halloween night. On Halloween night, the famous Frankenstein is almost everyone’s go to costume.  With bolts coming out from both sides of his neck, who wouldn’t want to be Frankenstein? Obviously the way that kids dress as Frankenstein has become more modern, but the idea of the character still lives on. Many kids, including myself, have dressed up as these very old but famous characters on Halloween.

This was not my first time watching this movie but every time I watch it, I act like it’s my first time because that’s how much I enjoy it! One reason why I enjoyed and chose this movie was because it was in black and white and I am a fanatic about anything antique! If there was one thing that I could change was how she rejected poor Frankenstein. That scene broke my heart… Bit the way each scene transitioned to another was great considering that this movie was made in 1935. I am very thankful for Mary Shelley and her brilliant idea to create the Frankenstein series.

Print vs. Digital

         Print media is slowly dying and more and more news companies are moving toward digital ways to inform their readers. Most of rolling stone news topics have been moved onto the internet and a lot of other palate forms behind them as well. Rolling stone has made some big advances to become more technologically involved in the new era. They have started a email newsletter where you get an email if anything impotant has gone on. I’m order to stay relavent to the readers they must keep up with current events and readers even if that means digitalizing everything. The media is so commonly used and at everyone’s fingertips so it’s so convenient and smart that rolling stone decided to switch over. With that being said print should not be eliminated forever because the internet isn’t a guaranteed thing it could be shut down at any minute, therefore paper news would still need to be relevant. I believe there will always be a need for printed news and it won’t be completely gone because you have a good percentage of people who don’t use media and would need the printed news to get their information. There is always a possibility that the internet could shut down and leave everyone without knowing current events but if paper news was still around there would always be a way to get to the news and not by relying on a source that isn’t guaranteed. Digital users differ from print users because reading the news is a healthier way to go. It helps jog your brain why keeping up to date with current events, unlike media users their is never a sure fire way to make sure you are getting correct information from social media. Digital users typically have less credible sources than those who use printed media.

My name is Patience Stovall! I live a very active life, between my job college and high school I stay pretty busy. I love cats, I’m a huge cat person and plan on having several when I get older. I have many, many siblings and They are very unique. I’m one out of six children, I have three brothers and three sisters. My house has always been hectic with all my siblings and one of my escapes is television. My favorite type of shows are doctor shows! The kind of shows that are informative but also dramatic and gets the feelings flowing! One of my favorites is greys anatomy it’s equal parts dramatic, very dramatic, and informative. With all the characters living their lives and keeping a full time job as a surgeon. Another show i like is called private practice it’s a spin off to greys anatomy. The reason I like these shows is because the average person can semi relate to them. It has some very real life situations and keeps you on your toes. There are other show that aren’t that popular but still good like scrubs, casualty, House, and code black. These are shows that aren’t very popular but still really great. Shows can be so underrated because of the amount of their views and that’s sad because most of the shows have really great scripts and great storylines. They don’t get the recognition they deserve tragically. Hopefully in the future good shows like these that are very authentic and creative get better views.
